چکیده

The present study focuses on the investigation of both near-surface and vertical variability carbon monoxide (CO) concentrations their potential sources obtained from in situ satellite Measurements Pollution Troposphere (MOPITT) over a semiarid region (Anantapur, India) January 2016 to December 2017. diurnal variation CO shows sharp morning (07:00-09:00 LT) evening peaks associated local anthropogenic activities as well impact mixed layer height, low during daytime (12:00-15:00 LT). levels afternoon hours may be due increase height decrease sources. seasonal mean showed no obvious variation, with highest observed winter (329 ± 52 ppbv), followed by pre-monsoon (327 57 post-monsoon (234 36 ppbv) monsoon (192 22 ppbv). high are attributed increased emissions shallow height. distribution secondary at high-pressure (300-200 hPa) winter, pre-monsoon, post-monsoon, which indicates transport different source regions. These findings reasonably confirmed through air mass Concentrated Weighted Trajectory (CWT) analysis Hybrid Single Particle Lagrangian Integrated (HYSPLIT) model. This suggests that except for monsoon, masses transported Indo-Gangetic Basin also contribute enhancement receptor site

Leucocyte and serum ascorbic acid levels in mothers and their newborn in semi-arid western India.

Leucocyte ascorbic acid (LAA) and serum ascorbic acid (SAA) have been estimated in 50 pregnant women, their newborn infants, and 14 non-pregnant women living in the semi-arid region of western India. LAA was significantly higher in the newborn as compared to their mothers, the mean values being 35.52 +/- 6.85 and 23.94 +/- 5.84 micrograms/10(8) cells, respectively (P less than 0.01). The sex an...

Diurnal and Seasonal Variations in Surface Ozone Levels at Tropical Semi- Urban site ,Nagercoil , India, and Relationships with Meteorological Conditions

Surface ozone measurements at the southernmost tropical semi-urban site Nagercoil (8 o 11’ N, 77 o 29’ E, 25m), India has been studied for the first time for the period from 2007 to 2010. A Gas Sensitive Semiconductor (GSS) sensor based ozone monitor is used for measurement. The measurement showed that the ozone concentration is a function of time and it varies from morning minimum to afternoon...
